Who shouldn’t buy a wall printer

Two owners watching the printer finish a geometric color print on a wall

We sell wall printers, and a wall printer isn’t right for everyone. A bad fit costs the buyer money and time, and it doesn’t help us either. If several of these sound like you, it may not be the right time. That’s a conversation we’d rather have before you buy than after.

You expect the printer to find the work

The printer prints. It doesn’t sell. Jason Ott, who runs business development here, says it this way: “We do sell a machine, but you do have to build a business around it.” If you don’t have a plan for who your clients are and how they’ll find you, start there.

You don’t have time for the routine

Maintenance takes about twenty minutes every other day the printer runs. It’s not hard, but it has to happen. A printer that’s skipped for weeks is a printer that has problems.

Nobody on your team will own it

Someone needs to learn the machine, prep the files and run the jobs. If that person doesn’t exist yet, the printer will sit.

Most of your walls are taller than 11 feet

The printer prints up to 11 feet high. If most of the work you want is on tall warehouse or gym walls, talk to us first about how that would work.

Most of your surfaces are deep texture

Corrugated metal and other very deep surfaces aren’t a good fit. If that’s your market, the printer isn’t the right tool for it.

You need the first few months to pay for everything

New services take time to build. If you can’t carry the printer through slow months while you find your clients, wait until you can, or look at a certified reconditioned printer package, which starts at $29,995.

You’ve decided not to do training

Every package includes a full day of training in Wilmington, recorded, with virtual available. It’s the quickest way to get comfortable with the machine.

This is not a commodity. Nobody’s business is going to fall apart without a wall print. You’re selling them the vision. If you’ve never sold face to face and handled a no, this is not the business for you.

If you’re afraid to talk to people, that’s going to be your biggest hindrance. You are generating your own leads. No one’s going to help you do it.

If this sounds like you

It doesn’t have to be no. It might be not yet. Some people start by getting work printed through an owner near them to see how their clients respond. Our get it printed page can connect you with one. When you’re ready, the team will walk through which printer package fits.

Questions people ask

Is a wall printer a good fit for me?

It’s a good fit if you have clients or a plan to find them, someone to run the printer, and time for about twenty minutes of maintenance every other day it runs.

What if I’m not ready to buy?

You can get work printed through an owner near you first, or start with a certified reconditioned printer package from $29,995.

Does the printer find clients for me?

No. The Wall Printer® reposts owner work to its national following and includes stock images and videos for your web presence, but finding clients is part of owning the printer.
