Printed floor graphics, instead of vinyl and paint

The Wall Printer® assembles, tests and supports direct-to-surface UV printer packages for floors, walls, glass, metal, wood and panels. On floors, the Floor Series prints logos, zone markings and wayfinding paths straight onto sealed concrete and coated floors.

Floor surfaces

Which floor surfaces does it print on?

Sealed concrete, unsealed concrete, coated floors and hard floors, plus panel stock laid flat in the shop. Sealed or unsealed concrete changes the prep. On a coated floor, the coating underneath decides the result.

Not just floors

Lay it flat and print it in the shop

Renderings, not photos. The Floor Series prints anything that lies flat: canvas, tile, slate, wood, glass and metal, one piece or a whole batch in one run.

How a floor job runs

How does a floor job run?

Access. The Floor Series travels in 3 hard-shell cases and rides in a van. It sets up where the floor is.

Power. There's no battery, so it needs power at the floor.

Prep. The floor has to be clean and sound. Concrete prep depends on whether it's sealed. Training covers floor prep hands-on in Wilmington, or virtually.

Time on site. Printing runs 10 to 20 sq ft an hour, so 100 square feet is five to ten hours of print time. The ink cures as it prints. More on how a floor job runs, start to finish.

Upkeep. About twenty minutes every other day the machine runs. The pump box circulates ink every twelve hours on its own.

Planning a floor

Every floor is different. Here's how to plan one.

Pick the right jobs. At 10 to 20 sq ft an hour, logos, zones, paths and graphics are where floor printing shines. A full basketball court is about 4,200 square feet, or 210 to 420 hours of print time, so most teams print the center logo and the marks that matter.

Plan for power. The Floor Series needs power at the floor.

Use the Floor Series for floors. The Pro and Tech print vertical surfaces. Floors run on the Floor Series.

Get a recommendation for your floor. Traffic, cleaning and finish all change what works. Send us photos and how the floor is used, and we and the support team will tell you what to expect. If your spec or insurer has requirements, call 910-632-0320 first.

Outdoors, plan a clear coat. Outdoors, we'll recommend whether a clear coat makes sense for your surface. For vehicle traffic, ask us for a recommendation on your site.

The cost model

Does it pay on your floors?

Put in what you spend a year on painted markings, floor vinyl or hand-painted logos, how many square feet, and how many sites. The cost model shows the in-house cost with ink and labor itemized, payback in months, and the five-year difference. When the numbers don't support it, it says so.

Does the Floor Series need power on site?

Yes. It has no battery, so it needs power at the floor.

Can it print a parking lot or an outdoor floor?

Outdoors, ask us whether a clear coat makes sense for your surface and exposure. Vehicle traffic is its own case, so send us a photo of the site and we'll recommend the approach before you quote it.

Send us the floor

Send us a photo of the floor and its rough square footage through the form. You'll hear back with the prep, the time on site and what it would cost in ink.
