Makers
You already think in layers.
If you run a 3D printer, a laser, a CNC or a vinyl cutter, you already know file prep, calibration and how to dial in a machine. The Wall Printer® takes those skills to walls, floors and glass. Ink runs about 50 cents a square foot, and most owners set a $500 minimum.

A maker on our team
Jason Ott runs business development at The Wall Printer®. Off the clock he's at his 3D printer, designing parts in Fusion 360 and printing two materials at once. He came to wall printing the way a lot of makers will.
"What drew me to this printer was simple. I get to use the skills I already have from 3D printing and pair them with a high-margin business."Jason Ott, The Wall Printer®
Skills that carry over
What you do now, on a wall
What's different
Bigger canvas, different job
The print bed is a wall
You print at the customer's site, not in your shop. Plan about 30 minutes to set up and break down.
Speed is square feet
Figure 10 to 20 square feet an hour, plus setup. A restaurant feature wall is half a day to a full day.
The customer is the work
Of the five things that make owners do well, four have nothing to do with the printer: vision, business, graphics and branding.
Your shop, plus a wall printer
Put your other machines to work
3D printer
Dimensional logos and letters mounted over a printed wall.
Laser and CNC
Cut and finish wood panels and signs in your shop, then print the art on them.
Vinyl cutter
Keep it for short-term graphics. Print the ones meant to stay.
Your own art
Sell your designs as wall art to local shops, gyms and restaurants.

The numbers
What a wall job looks like
Owners sort their work into three kinds of jobs. The habit that grows them: quote the wall, then walk the building.
Two to three hours. Accent walls, a small commercial logo, a kid’s room, a home office.
Half a day to a full day. Restaurant feature walls, office branding, retail stores, gyms.
One to three days. Multi-wall installs, exteriors, hotel lobbies, corporate headquarters.
Run your own numbers in the payback calculator, or read the three kinds of wall printing jobs.

FAQ
Questions makers ask
Is a wall printer like a big 3D printer?
In some ways. You prep a file, set up the machine and let it print. The differences: it prints a full-color image instead of building a part, it works on a vertical surface at the customer's site, and it uses UV ink.
Do I need to be a designer?
No. You can license art, work from a client's files or team up with a local designer. If you already design, you're ahead.
What does a typical wall job pay?
Most owners set a $500 minimum. Quick jobs run $500 to $1,500, mid-range jobs $1,500 to $5,000 and larger jobs $5,000 to $25,000.
What does it cost to run?
Ink runs about 50 cents a square foot. A print head lasts about a year to a year and a half on UV ink. There is no annual software fee.
Is training included?
Yes. One full day of training and lifetime support from our team in Wilmington, NC come with every package.
Can I talk to an owner first?
Yes. Owner references are available on request. Ask on the form below.

In your shop
Fill the gaps between wall jobs
The printer doesn’t need a wall to stay busy. Stand a panel upright in your shop and print canvas, aluminum, acrylic, tile, slate or cabinet doors. Shop work fills slow weeks, rainy days and the days between on-site jobs.
- Steady workPieces you can print any day, not just when a wall is booked.
- New customersSign shops, cabinet makers, tile and stone suppliers, artists and designers.
- No site setupPrint in your own space and hand off finished pieces.
